The New York City Interscholastic Math League is now accepting freshman members to join the Executive Committee in the 2017-2018 school year. Anyone who has participated in the IML in high school can join the Executive Committee once they are freshman in college. Currently, there are two freshman, three sophomores, two juniors and two seniors on the committee. Each new member is expected to stay on the committee for 4 years and everyone is assigned a different role each year. A more detailed description of each role can be found on the application.
Joining the Executive Committee is a great opportunity not only to give back to the high school math team community but also to learn about teamwork and leadership. Current executive members have worked hard in order to preserve the standard of the league’s contests, come up with ways to reach out to more schools across New York, and interact with coaches and students from our participating schools.
Any graduating high school senior interested in joining the committee is welcome to apply.
